LGOA FM invites applications from unemployed graduates who are interested in participating in our internship programme.

The interns will be based in our PE offices for a period of 12 months.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
QUALIFICATION:

  • Software Development in ASP.NET MVC
  • The successful candidate will be exposed to the following aspects:
  • Server maintenance
  • End user support
  • Intranet site maintenance
  • Website Development
  • Researching new relevant software and technology

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Technical know-how
  • Problem solving skills
  • Willing to learn
  • Willing to travel
  • Team Player

PROCUREMENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
QUALIFICATION:

  • National Diploma Accounting or Similar Qualification
  • The successful candidate will be exposed to the following aspects:
  • Processing of BBBEE supporting documents
  • Managing the preferred supplier database
  • Exposure to processing of accounting records using Pastel accounting system
  • Debtors and Creditors Administration
  • Accurate Record Keeping
  • Personnel Administration
  • Radio advertising billing and invoicing systems
  • Reception
  • Confidential Admin Duties

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Being able to work under pressure
  • Problem solving skills
  • Willing to learn
  • Project Management
  • Driver Licence would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of Pastel will be advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of Accounting and Accounting Systems

CONTENT INTERNSHIP
QUALIFICATION:

  • BA Media, Communication and Culture ( major in Journalism) or similar qualification
  • The successful candidate will be exposed to the following aspects:
  • Sourcing possible story angles, ideas and guests
  • Research Content
  • Building good relationships with stakeholders ( Digital, News and On Air)
  • Stay abreast of news and current affairs
  • PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
  • Excellent Writing Skills
  • Creative Skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Interpersonal skills – relates well to diverse people
  • Passion for broadcasting, Digital Media and News
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours
