Qualifications:
Minimum qualification National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Technikon S4) with 3-5 years relevant experience OR
National Certificate N6 with minimum 5 years relevant experience
Computer literacy and Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
Additional Requirements
Relevant experience in Vibration analyses and Alignment.
Relevant project planning experience.
Valid driver’s license (Code 8)
Valid Fitness for Duty certificate

Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for:
Research of new developments and techniques, recommendations with respect to best practices and optimization of equipment performance.
Ensure that Vibration data is correctly and accurately collected, analyzed, interpreted & the condition of equipment reported with accompanying recommendations as how to address deviations
Diagnosis/trouble shooting (failure analyses) and/or repair on mechanical equipment/systems.
Calibration of equipment and instruments, revision of limits and providing technical assistance and guidance to stakeholders
Standby duty and support to artisans with higher level / complex maintenance problems.
Identification and implementation of improvement projects to improve equipment reliability and life expectancy.
Liaison with Engineering managers, heads, foreman, tradesman and suppliers for problem solving.
Management of SHEQ (SHEQ documentation, ISO 14000 and ISO 9002), BBC program and STEP
