We are looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer to effectively lead and coordinate the implementation of M&E systems focused on data collection, analysis, and reporting of results for the Community Base Services Project. The M&E Officer will report to the Project Manager and work in close collaboration with the Community Coordinators and the Outreach Team Leaders, as well as counterparts to ensure that quality data are available to program teams to guide decision making.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring.
- Develops personal growth opportunities.
- Defines objectives, identifies, and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course of action, and evaluates outcomes.
- Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analysing and resolving quality and customer service problems, and recommending system improvements.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Conduct visits to sites to provide supervision, operational assistance, training and support, as well as to ensure that M&E tools are understood and being implemented effectively.
- Manage the flow of regular reports into the CBS programs for internal & external use.
- Encourage the collection and use of information at multiple points in the program’s implementation to track progress toward predetermined goals narratives about the quality of the data they contain.
- Maintenance of standard health data information systems across all supported sites
- Document standard operating procedures outlining processes for completing work.
- Provide on-going M&E technical assistance to CBS & DOH, Community partners.
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly data quality reviews (DQAs) of reported.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
- A minimum of a 3-year Diploma/Bachelor’ degree in development related subjects (preferable)
- Or A minimum 3 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation of development programs
- A valid Driver’s License is preferred.
- Good knowledge of programme and Project Cycle Management and Development.
- Communication and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power point: SPSS Ms Access, STATA, Excel, or other statistical software package desired

- High degree of accuracy in handling and managing statistical data
