Sea Harvest Apprenticeships Programme

Working on a fixed term contract with Sea Harvest for the duration of your training, you will report to the Training officer / Workshop superintendent. Part of this programme will be to complete workshop training at an FET college and to complete core experiential training on site.

Requirements

  • Passed NTC 3 (4 Subjects) OR Matriculated with Mathematics & Science plus Trade subjects at NTC 3
  • Proven practical training & experience
  • Able to work in confined spaces and at heights above 3 metres.

Sea Harvest Navigational / Engineering Cadet Programme

As a seagoing trainee on a fixed-term contract with Sea Harvest, you will report to the Training Officer/ Crew Services Manager. You will complete institutional as well as onboard training and obtain SAMSA Certificate of Competence, within deadlines. You must take ownership and responsibility for studies and sea time.

Requirements

  • Passed NTC 4 (4 Subjects) OR Matriculated with Mathematics & Physical Science
  • Good general health and eyesight
  • High level of responsibility and co-ordination
  • Ability to pass a SAMSA medical examination and vision 8L colour eyesight test
  • Able to work in confined spaces and at heights above 3 metres.
