Appointment requirements:

Basic literacy
Relevant experience in the operation and maintenance of the electricity network in a municipal environment
Physically fit and healthy
Willing and able to work standby and overtime

Communication skills; hard worker; Technical skills; Must be able to do physical work related to operational and maintenance activities for continuous periods

 

Duties:

Cleaning and maintenance of the area office, terrain, vehicles, facilities and equipment to ensure good housekeeping as well as a safe and healthy environment
The digging and filling of trenches
Digging of holes, trenches and spreading excavated materials, sand, soil and gravel using hand-held tools
Sorting, loading, unloading, moving, stacking and storing materials, equipment, products, supplies, baggage, ad cargo by hand
Laying of cables
Packing and unpacking material and products and filling containers and shelves with products by hand
Trimming and cutting rocks and concrete and bitumen surfaces
Transporting equipment, soil and products around the construction sites
Cleaning of machinery, equipment, tools and work sites and removing obstructions
Cleaning of substation yards and electrical servitudes
Cleaning of sites after completion of operation
