ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: DEMAND AND ACQUISITION MANAGEMENT 2

SALARY : R270 804 per annum

REQUIREMENTS :

Applicants must be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree or National diploma in
Public Management/Administration, Logistical Management, Purchasing
Management and/or Financial Accounting. A Tender Administration related
course and/or Supply Chain Management course. Relevant experience in
Demand and Acquisition Management on salary level 8 (proof of salary level must
be attached). Sound knowledge of the administration of bids in accordance with
strategies, policies and applicable legislation including the Public Finance
Management Act, 1999 (Act 1 of 1999) (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations as well
as the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2000 (Act 5 of 2000)
(PPPFA). Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills. Good computer
skills. Good planning and organising, interpersonal relations and problem solving
skills. A valid driver’s licence (minimum Code B) and the ability to drive.
DUTIES : The incumbent will be responsible to co-ordinate and manage the bid process as
well as provide administrative support during the bid process. Co-ordinate and
manage the quotation process and provide administrative support during the
invitation for quotations process. Oversee the maintenance of the Department’s
database. Manage human, financial and other resources of the Section.
