SALARY : R 270 804 per annum (Basis salary)
CENTRE : Pretoria

 

REQUIREMENTS : Relevant three year degree or equivalent qualification (in Transport will receive preference)
with at least 4 (four) years experience in fleet management administration, of which 2 years
should be in a supervisory role. Grade 12 or equivalent with at least 7 (seven) years fleet
management of which 2 years should be in a supervisory role. Mechanical knowledge will be
an added advantage. Computer literacy that includes a good working knowledge of Microsoft
Office Products Valid driver’s license (Code 8/EB). Proven practical knowledge of the
subsidised motor transport scheme. Effective Communication Skills both verbal and written.
Effective organizational skills. High sense of integrity. Ability to work in a team.
Interpersonal sensitivity. Ability to take responsibility and to function independently. Flexible
and adaptable. Sound attention to detail. Adhere to standards and procedures. Selfmotivated
and disciplined. Analytical, detail orientated. Excellent people management skills.

DUTIES : The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks which includes the
following: Management and coordination of Fleet Services: Coordinate the operation of the
Fleet Management Section which includes the fleet management and maintenance, vehicle
repair services and fleet administration. Prepares annual budget for fleet maintenance
operations (including maintenance and replacement of vehicles) and monitors expenditures.
Prepares reports related to maintenance activities, operations costs, condition of fleet and
facilities, safety etc. as needed. Establishes and maintains repair requirements and
replacement time of vehicles and determines when a vehicles should be declared surplus
and disposed. Maintains and updates vehicle records and vehicle specifications. Reports on
expenditure patterns. Maintains fleet management systems Management of the Section
Manage and develop staff. Manage and supervise the administrative processes of the
Section. Manage financial and procurement processes of the Section. Manage the budget of
the Section. Compile strategic plan for the Section. Manage performance, monitoring and
evaluation of the Section
