ASSISTANT SURVEYORS X4 POSTS REF NO: DRPW 110/2015
Component: Survey and Laboratory
SALARY : R 227 802 per annum (Level 8)
CENTRE : In – House Construction (Grahamstown)

REQUIREMENTS : National Diploma in Land Survey/Built Environment/Engineering. A minimum
of 4 years working experience in a roads infrastructure delivery environment.
Grade 12 (Matric) with at least. A valid driver’s license – Code 8. Skills And
Competencies: Knowledge of Civil design, Promotion of Access to
Information Act, 2 of 2000, Performance Management Principles, Computer
literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Eastern Cape (Provincial) Roads
Act. Ability to interpret survey engineering and architectural drawings.
Problem solving, Communication, Conflict resolution and Self-Management,
and Customer and Quality management skills.

 

DUTIES : Setting out of survey droppers (road horizontal alignment). Setting out of road
levels. Setting out of bridges and road related structures. Setting out of fence
line. Setting out of road surfacing line, Monitor job cards, Assist with fleet
servicing, Assist with ensuring of fleet repairs. Duties will be performed on
site.
