Responsible for the overall strategy development and implementation for direct marketing business which includes design and oversee and alignment of the growth strategy, efficiency strategy, quality and retention strategy as well as diversification strategy for the direct business ensuring VNB targets are met as set by the board.

Job Summary:
1.Oversee and align the design and implementation of direct marketing sales plans strategies:
•Develop and implement direct marketing strategy
•Plan and administer the direct marketing operational budget
•Input into advertising and media with Corporate Affairs
2.Manage Stakeholder Relationships:
•Present to various governance structures within Assupol
3.Develop, align and oversee new business growth strategies for direct:
•Set new business growth targets across channels
•Manage profitability of the direct channel
•Develop strategies for value add e.g., Increase the VNB for the product
4.Develop, align and oversee efficiencies strategies for direct:
•Identify and develop cost drivers’ strategies
•Ensure lower cost per policy
•Manage leads conversion
5.Develop, align and oversee diversification strategies for Direct:
•Product diversification
•Stay abreast with market competitions and trends
•Sales channel diversification
6.Develop and align and oversee quality and retention strategies for Direct:
•Oversee the management and alignment of the new business process to ensure the first-year survival and NTU rate is according to Actuarial assumptions
•Ensure the quality strategy is developed and implemented
•Oversee the management of compliance in the channel
•Oversee the management of possible operational and strategic risks in the channel
Requirements:
FORMAL EDUCATION:
•Degree in Marketing Management (advantage)
•A qualification that is recognised by the FSCA
TECHNICAL/LEGAL CERTIFICATION:
•RE 1 (Key Individuals)
•Recognised qualification recognised by FSCA
•Registration as a Key Individual
•Class of Business (Depending on date on registration as Key Individual in the Industry) (Advantage)
•CPD Points
EXPERIENCE:
•5 years in sales management (Direct)
•3 years in life Insurance in a direct channel environment
•3 years in marketing management
