Job Title: Registered Nurse [CHAPS]
Location: Mangaung, Free State, South Africa

Contract Type: Permanent/Contract 24 Months
Salary: Market Related

Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
Clinical Services:
•Provides overall support for clinical team at facility level by using clinical skills in collaboration with the cutter.
•Effectively provides MMC services for clients including screening, history taking, male circumcision- surgical procedure, intra and post-operative care and any other clinically related activities at the facility by delegating staff and being hands-on when needed
•Establishing clinical protocols and other clinical requirements at facility level in collaboration with the clinical team and the head of operations and the Department of Health
•Ensure clinical services provided are within the national quality assurance requirements. Respond to quality audits to rectify any developmental areas identified
Reporting
•Providing detailed adverse events reporting immediately after management
•Ensure that the adverse event report has been completed by the cutter and submitted to the Technical Director, and that ongoing reports are submitted until the patient is discharged
•Ensure that all administrative data has been reported to the correct departments at the due date ie petty cash, MMC stats, HTS stats
•A monthly report must be submitted outlining any challenges, events, occurrences and weekly meetings held

Requirements:
Education:
•Four (4) year degree or diploma in General Nursing
•Must be registered with the SA Nursing Council

Experience:
•Must have knowledge and experience in VMMC
•Must have at least 2 years of nursing experience in a clinic or hospital environment
•Staff/clinic management would be an advantage.
