Job Title: Senior Technical Advisor [Head Office]

Job Summary:
The TB Technical Advisor is responsible to provide technical advisory services (clinical and programmatic) both internally and
externally in the area of TB. The incumbent will provide guidance, monitoring, and technical assistance to the TB Directorate at
National Department of Health (NDoH). The incumbent will provide high-level technical and programmatic assistance that
incorporates evidence-based best practices in the design, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of TB
prevention and treatment programming. This will include support to policy and guideline development, managing and executing
reviews, audits, and situational analyses, and supporting research projects where required.

Technical Work Responsibilities:
Liaising with Internal/External Customers/Stakeholders.
Applying knowledge and expertise in programmatic management of TB.
Providing technical support and guidance related to the field of expertise.
Conducting File and Facility Audits in selected Districts, ensure roll-out and develop customised Programmes: MDR-TB Training
Programme; MDR-TB Mentorship and Clinical Support etc.
Data Analysis.
Project Management.
Compiling Grant/Fund applications/proposals.
Compiling Quality Programme, Funder, and other Reports.
Providing training and mentoring.

Requirements:
Education:
Masters Degree / NQF level 9,
Post graduate Diploma and
Professional Registration / NQF 8

Professional Qualification
TB Union
International AIDS society

Experience:
Up to 10 years in Social Science and Health Sciences

Area of Expertise
Programme Management and HIV/AIDS treatment and care
