Job Summary:
The core responsibilities of the project assistant role are outlined below:
Seek out grant or funding opportunities that Youth Health Africa is eligible for
Work with the grants manager on proposal narratives
Identify potential partners to work with on funding opportunities
Work with the project manager to submit finalized proposals
Work with project manager on partner meetings and finalizing teaming agreements
Conduct research on areas of expansion for YHA
Train and develop junior members of the team

Requirements:

Education:
Bachelors degree in public health, social sciences or other related field

Advantageous: Post-graduate degree in public health, social sciences, business administration or other related fields

Professional experience:
2 years working in the NGO sector working on proposal writing, stakeholder engagement or research
