CHAPS is a quality partner in Namibia’s Scaling up Access For Expanded (SAFE) Voluntary Medical Male circumcision.
A post for a Quality Assurance Officer has arisen in Oshakati zone which covers the regions of Oshana, Omusati, Ohangwena, Oshikoto with support extending to Kavango and Zambezi.
Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer [CHAPS}

Job Summary:
Responsibilities include:
•Facilitate dissemination and implementation of the National VMMC QA guidelines
•Conduct audit on the training needs of the regional and district officials on QA for the VMMC programme
•Facilitate the development, training and mentoring of district/facility CQI teams
•Liaise with contracted VMMC partners for training needs and respond to the identified needs
•Enroll trainees and moderate the VMMC Online Training Hub (OTH)
•Ensure the development and dissemination of QA job aids and SOPs for all VMMC sites.
•Be a moderator for the implementation of the VMMC OTH
•Facilitate training of VMMC providers on CQI, VMMC and other trainings
•Conduct CQI assessment in all VMMC sites
•Develop CQI dashboard to monitor CQI implementation in VMMC sites
•Monitor the follow up of poor performing VMMC sites
•Work closely with the National VMMC programme manager in monitoring and addressing adverse events nationally
Reporting:
•Produce monthly adverse events report
•Audit report on Zonal training needs
•Updated database of trained QA/CQI officials in province/districts
•CQI dashboard with CQI assessment report
•Report on certification of doctors/nurses/ health assistants (as well as those qualified through the Online Training Hub)
•Quarterly CQI
•Monthly reports on CQI activities
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science (with registration with the HPCNA), Health Science, Social Science or related fields
•At least 3 years’ experience in training administration or coordination
•At least 2 years’ experience in quality assurance
•At least 2 years’ experience in VMMC or other HIV prevention programmes
•General knowledge of the dynamics of the HIV epidemic
•Project Management Training including Quality assurance
•Strong leadership skills with the ability to plan, organize, coordinate and implement work inputs from several sources and partners and manage the simultaneous delivery of multiple outputs required
•Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work accurately under pressure and maintain a high standard of professionalism
•Computer literacy and strong computer skills
•Valid driver’s license and ability to travel in-country
