Job Title: Study Coordinator [2021/07/01/03]

Job Summary:
The Study Co-ordinator is responsible to manage operations of assigned Project(s) within the Clinical Research Division. The Study Co-ordinator must implement and manage all assigned Projects according to designed protocols, grant contracts and standards. This will require the Study Co-ordinator to design systems for the implementation of Projects as well as to ensure that Quality Control Systems are in place and to manage Projects according to specified standards of both Aurum and Funders. The Study Co-ordinator also needs to report regularly against progress on Research Projects and disseminate results to the relevant Stakeholders.

Technical Work Responsibilities:
.Liaise with Internal and External customers/stakeholders
.Use clinical knowledge and skills to aid in clinical management of participants
.Management and co-ordination of studies through effective project management
.Management of staff through effective key performance indicators
.Assist in the development and management of recruitment and retention strategies
.Prepare and implement all study SOPs, study files, and additional study forms related to study implementation
.Develop and maintain processes and procedures, and monitor workflow of these during study implementation
.Develop and implement systems and research tools toward targeted metrics for active protocols
.Resource management and communication of study resource requirements
.Reporting and record-keeping of recruitment, screening, enrolment, retention, data, quality, and other study metrics
.Research-related administrative duties
.Human capital management

Requirements:

Education / Professional Membership:

.Bachelor Degree in Nursing (Bcur/BNSc) or Diploma in Nursing
.Registration with South African Nursing Council as a professional nurse
Advantageous
.HIV/AIDS certificate
.Couple Counselling course or equivalent
.Advanced diploma in Primary Health Care
.Post Graduate degree
.Valid GCP Certification
.Clinical trial experience
.Experience in managing teams
.Experience in managing projects

Experience:
.Min 1 – 2 years’ experience in Public Health Research

Requirements:
.Proficient personal computer skills
.SA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
.Valid Driver’s License
.Own car
.Minimal/Moderate/Excessive overnight travel (up to 30%) by land or air if required
.Willing to work overtime
