Autism Western Cape (previously known as the Society for Autistic Children) is a nonprofit organisation that works to provide information and advisory, advocacy and support services to those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the Western Cape.

Job Title: Administration and Communications Officer
Job Location: Mowbray Cape Town

Responsibilities:

    • Answer client queries via telephone and email
    • Order stock
    • Deal with suppliers
    • Day to day running of the office
  • Basic HR functions
  • Petty cash and credit card reconciliation
  • Submission of mileage claims
  • Process timesheets and leave forms
  • Market the organisation to the media
  • Promote the organisation via social media
  • Plan all fundraising and awareness events
  • Collate figures for funders reports
  • Assist the Director as required
  • Prepare reports

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in an administration management role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Supervision experience preferred
  • Organisation skills
  • Time management skills
