AUXILIARY SERVICE OFFICER 3 POSTS REF NO: 05326

SALARY : R123 738 per annum (plus benefits)

CENTRE : West Rand Health District
REQUIREMENTS : Matric / Grade 12. Knowledge of Health Promotion, Proven 2-5 years experience in Health
Promotion Field Knowledge of health Promotion Knowledge of relevant Acts, Regulations and
Policies with regard to health Promotion. Driver’s license will be added advantage Ability in
working communities, NGOs/CBO, Planning and report writing skills, Project Facilitation skills,
Good interpersonal skills.

DUTIES : Provide information and support to individuals with chronic diseases through support groups
and one interaction. Actively promote community participation through techniques such as
PE, Support groups, door to door etc. facilitate the formation of support groups. Initiate and
run educational healthy lifestyle awareness campaigns, community dialogues, road shows
etc. establish health Promoting schools, health promoting crèches. Contribute and provide
technical support to WBOT through: health promotion activities and interventions. Mobiles
communities and organizations where ever possible to form partnerships
