The above-mentioned senior clerk position exists within the Remuneration Department. The main purpose of the job is to provide administrative support to the Remuneration Department and assist in projects on an ongoing basis.

Job Summary:
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Administration of the Employee Self Service System (ESS)
•Final approver of all junior employee leave transactions on the ESS in accordance with approved policy.
•Load and provide access to all ESS users.
•Manage leave approvers and the leave approval workflow on ESS.
•Reset ESS passwords.
•Assist employees with ESS related queries and requests.
•Assist with leave audits.
Provide general office administration support
•Responsible for the ordering of bouquets for Head Office personnel in accordance with policy.
•Responsible for ordering stationery and other office supplies.
•Assist with filing and the binding of recommendation packs.
•Responsible for compiling monthly exit documents (UI19 and certificates of service) and the distribution thereof.
Capture and reconcile ad hoc payments
•Reconcile Manager’s responsibility GL codes against budget and expenditure.
•Capture all ad hoc payments linked to the manager’s responsibility GL codes.
•Ensure payments are submitted to finance for payment, and follow up on payment queries and differences.
•Capture information on budget spreadsheets and assist with the explanation of budget deviances between budget, actual expenditure and estimates.

Remuneration support:
•Assist with general remuneration queries
•Administer the validation process for insurance representatives that requested to join the pension fund.
•Assist with the annual budget, salary increase and any other support the department may need.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
•Grade 12.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
•Practical experience of HR systems and software.
•3 Years’ administration experience.
•Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (in particular MS Excel).
