The above mentioned position exists within the Remuneration Department and is responsible for the administration and coordination of the Employment Equity and Broad- Based Black Economic Empowerment activities. The successful incumbent will report to the Senior Remuneration Specialist, and have a branched reporting line to the Manager: Learning and Development.

 

 

 

 

 

Job Title: HR PRACTITIONER: TRANSFORMATION

Job Summary:
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Employment Equity:

•Assist in ensuring effective EE administration and coordination within the Group.
•Monitor budget utilisation and report on the usage thereof.
•Assist with preparation and update the EE plan (EE Goals and Targets) as per legislative and business requirements.
•Update EE barriers and EE action plans (EEA12 and EEA13) with the committee’s feedback and actively participate in the
roll out and progress monitoring thereof.
•Provide assistance with statutory, EE related changes and the implementation thereof.
•Provide information requested for Department of Labour and Employment (DoL) audits at Head Office and external offices
by providing necessary documents and guidance on any findings by following up with the relevant inspector timeously.
•Assist to update and maintain the EE policies and plans.
•Co-ordinate awareness, education and sensitisation sessions on Employment Equity and Diversity (in consultation with the
Organisational Development division).
•Follow-up and monitor the submission of EEA1 of all employees, follow up on any reasonable accommodation that needs to
be recommended for employees with disabilities and ensure that the HRI System is updated.

Employment Equity Committee:

•Responsible for the committee’s secretarial and administrative duties by:
oScheduling of meetings in line with EE good practice guidelines.
oSending out meeting agendas and minutes timeously.
oDrafting of EE meeting minutes.
oIdentify vacancies in the EE committee structure and assists with the election of committee members.
oDistribution of related documents to committee members.
oArrange training for committee members.
oAny other committee administration functions that should arise.

HRIS Management :

•Update and maintain the correct EE classifications on the HR information system inclusive of (race, gender, job titles and job
grade, and level of employment).
•Prepare monthly statistics from the system and distribute to relevant stakeholders.
•Compilation of reports on progress made with the implementation of the approved EE plan, measured against the approved
targets.

Broad- Based Black Economic Empowerment:

•Responsible for the effective administration and coordination of the Group’s BBBEE activities.
•Liaise with stakeholders and coordinate the Group’s monthly BBBEE submissions.
•Plan, monitor and engage with relevant process champions on their monthly BBBEE reports to ensure timeous submission.
•Responsible for the Management Control (EE and Remuneration sections) submission for the Group.
•Update the BBBEE tool with relevant information for scenario planning purposes.
•Coordinate and collate feedback from all relevant administrators and process champions on queries received from the
BBBEE service providers and ensure that relevant feedback is provided.
•Coordination of the annual B-BBEE verification audit process.
•Compilation of the submission file containing documents as specified for the validation process.
•Arrange and coordinate the validation process with all stakeholders to ensure that they are available and prepared.

Reporting:

•Prepare the EEA2 and EEA4 reports and ensure alignment to the HRI System.
•Submit approved EEA2 and EEA4 to the Department of Employment and Labour before the published due date.
•Prepare and provide monthly BBBEE reports to the Manager L&D and General Manager: HR to identify gaps.
•Provide assistance with ad hoc remuneration related tasks and projects
Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

•A relevant three-year diploma or degree.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

•Minimum of 2-3 years’ related experience.
•Exposure to relevant legislation.
•Proven experience in EE and BBBEE management
•Proven experience in HR related systems.
•Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) experience
