This position is responsible for Category administrative activities to support the Category Managers in achieving their financial targets. This is a position which involves significant administration and some data entry and loading marketing plans on to the marketing system.
The position will also support the selection of new product interest from brand plans (e-profile + Horizon data maintenance) as well as designing and maintaining pagination files according to the category managers input.
-Co-ordinates on a daily basis with other groups within Marketing, however relatively little contact with groups outside of marketing.
-Passion and aptitude for this area is essential with a desire to progress within marketing function
-Has no direct reports but must be able to “manage upwards” and be able to show potential leadership skills as will be briefing other colleagues and departments and presenting at meetings. Must be comfortable with challenging brand manager and senior managers.
-Needs to be able to resolve MAPS system issues on a daily basis, and also come up with alternative pagination flows for brochure. Faced with challenges from other teams not doing the changes quick enough, needs to feel comfortable chasing others and ensuring the work is completed in order for her to do her work.
-Needs to overcome last minute changes to brochure plans and suggest alternatives, should not be resistant to change.
-No major decisions on the business are taken without consulting with the Senior Category Manager. However the incumbent is able to influence these decisions, and is strongly encouraged to do so.
-Communicates with Category Planners, Campaign, Art Director and Copywriter on daily basis
-Critical that their communication is effective as this could lead to the wrong products being listed in brochure or being flowed after their status date. Also lead to wrong estimates.
-Needs to have a dynamic and enthusiastic presence and be able to influence others, and get his/her point across in a clear, effective way.

-MAPS, E-Profile and Horizon loading and maintenance (including working with EBM and Systems Support to rectify issues)
-Point of contact for system queries from campaign, creative, EBM, Customer and Representative queries and Supply Chain
-All aspects of product administration ( including answering queries, updating tracking spreadsheets with brochure plans, maintaining pagination up to date, managing samples/products for photography, new products flow, phase out dates)
-Responsible for consolidating data, analyzing data
-Ad-hoc project work
-Leader List loading and checking , paginations and flow book maintenance
-Assist with briefing Art Directors and Copy Writers on brochure creative and sign-offs, and follow-up on creative issues related to products description, FSC codes, offers set up in system
-Assisting category team in administrative workload such as products withdrawals, handling logistics of Customer competitions/Reps incentives etc
