Job Title: Technical Assistant (Repeater Sites)
Location: Bellville

Job Summary:
Key performance areas:
Perform inspection checks and general housekeeping of radio high site facilities
Perform maintenance of repeater site masts and towers, power supply systems and generators by carrying out generator refuelling tasks
Assist technicians with TETRA and analogue radio infrastructure field work
Receive applications and ensure that all applications comply with applicable law, approved tariff structure and business rules in terms of the City of Cape Town objectives
Process applications by providing technical and/or administrative information and advice to internal and external parties to ensure that applications are processed within the statutory regulations, requirements and timeframes
Administer application process by maintaining all system records and information required for tracking of applications and assessing progress to ensure that applications are processed timeously with quality service delivery.

Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years’ relevant industry experience in Telecommunications high site environment
Computer literacy
A valid driver’s licence
Must be physically fit and able bodied to climb heights and to carry heavy equipment and tools
Must be willing to work overtime and standby.
