We have a range of nonfield opportunities for graduates – in the office, laboratory, or factory – including reliability, supply chain management, R&D, and design. For reliability and supply chain management, we offer comprehensive three-year rotational training programs.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities – Supply chain
We obtain raw materials and components, transform them into products and services, and move the products and services from suppliers to customers. Our manufacturing and supply chain facilities are located strategically around the world so our customers can work more efficiently. The structured three-year Supply Chain Rotational Program (SCRP) includes formal training and on-job experience that aims to prepare you for a leadership position. It will involve you in tasks ranging from purchasing and strategic sourcing to materials analysis and global logistics.
When you join the structured three-step supply chain training program, you’ll complete six assignments over three years within three tracts: strategic sourcing, production management, and logistics management. Regular assessments will ensure you have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to move to the next step, each of which is designed to be completed in 12 months.
You will take on specific roles–initially in Finance, or as a Buyer–where you will develop expertise by performing each role and receiving constructive feedback from your mentor. You will also benefit throughout the program from instructor-led courses, structured on-job training, and e-learning modules. Further developmental roles will follow, which will vary according to your interests and our business needs. These could include logistics; quality; global sourcing; human resources; or health, safety, and environment.
Once you have completed your training program, you’ll begin a minimum two-year assignment, taking on responsibility within the supply chain organization. Potential career opportunities include, but are not limited to, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, global logistics, project management, strategic sourcing, materials management, purchasing, coordination, trade compliance, plant management, and operations management.
