Job Title: Underground Diesel Mechanic
Location: Barberton, Mpumalanga, South Africa

Salary: Market Related

Job Summary:
Maintain and inspect equipment according to OEM, Mine Health and Safety Act and prescribed performance requirements.

Main Role Outcomes:
•Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical / electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
•Quality control of repairs
•Attend to breakdowns electrical and mechanical fault finding
•Monitor and instruct outside service providers performing repairs
•Carrying out routine inspections
•Do planned and unplanned maintenance
•Detect Mechanical and Electrical Faults
•Perform checks on a regular basis and detects possible faults
•Improvises necessary solutions as and when needed

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:

•Grade 12 Certificate
•Qualified with trade papers (section 13 or 26D)
•Code 8 Drivers License
•Minimum 5 years Diesel Mechanic experience
•Experience working on Trackless Mobile Machinery
•Welding experience
•Own Transport as position requires standby
•Valid certificate of physical fitness
•Ability to read and write in English
