Barberton Mines first produced gold in 1886. The mining complex now comprises three mines: Fairview, New Consort and Sheba.

Job Title: Junior HRD Practitioner / Facilitator
Location: Barberton, Mpumalanga, South Africa

Salary: Market Related
To facilitate/transfer learning to ensure capability according to required unit standard.
Main Role Outcomes:
•Identify and assess training needs within the company;
•Provides input to the Training Strategy and the development of specific training development
•Optimizes the training portfolio as specialized targeted courses are offered to managers and
•Helps employees improve upon and/or enhance existing skills;
•Design solutions incorporating a variety of learning products;
•Create a supportive and conducive adult learning environment;
•Performs other duties as assigned.
•Grade 12 qualification or NQF 4 equivalent
•Education Training and Development Practitioner qualification – NQF 4 will be advantageous
•Coach the Learner/Facilitators certificate – NQF 3
•Assessor certificate NQF 5 will be advantageous
•Valid DMR blasting certificate NQF–3, Rock breaking certificate for metalliferous mines and or a NQF3/4 National Engineering Trade Certificate will be advantageous
•Knowledge of the MHSA and relevant Legislation.
•Minimum 2 years’ experience within mechanized mining production environment, engineering maintenance and plant operation within gold mining environment
•Supervisory exposure will be advantageous as Team Leader in mining environment
•Valid certificate of physical fitness.
•Valid Driver’s license
•Good interpersonal skills will be advantageous
•Relevant supervisory certificates of competence will be advantageous
