The role is responsible for identifying and defining the required tests and ensuring that the system or technology actually does what was originally specified by methodically assessing each step or checkpoint.

Job summary:
Key deliverables and outputs

1.Plan and define test strategies for each assigned project ensuring that proper process is followed throughout testing.
2.Develop test requirements and test cases from Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) documents.
3.Record, document and analyse test results.
4.Manage the related defect process.
5.Implement and execute the organisation’s quality assurance/testing framework.
6.Manage test environments and ensure that they are set-up in accordance with project environment requirements.
7.Liaise with key business representatives to review system requirements and verify that solutions are implemented according to requirements.
8.Co-ordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business and external vendors.

Education And Experience Requirements:
Essential:
•Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification with an information technology focus
•4 – 5 years in software engineering, involving development and testing of applications

Advantageous:
•Post Graduate degree
•ISTQB Certification or equivalent (ISEB)
•Integration Testing background
•Testing with multiple vendors
•Experience in Micro Focus Quality Centre
•Participation in DevSecOps squads

•Specialist knowledge of the testing processes and testing lifecycle, including knowledge of various testing methodologies
•Sound knowledge of the software development lifecycle and software development methodologies
•Knowledge of Agile practices
•ITIL knowledge
•Well-developed communication skills to persuade and influence others effectively at all levels (externally and internally)
•Highly developed communication skills to present technical information in a way which establishes rapport and creates understanding
•Strong interpersonal skills to network effectively and handle conflict
•Advanced critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to test new technology developments and analyse business application requirements
•Ability to multi-task
•Computer, technology and systems skills
