Job Summary:
Key deliverables and outputs:
1.Overall responsible for oversight of all IT infrastructure at all sites in the allocated region. This includes networking, end user computing, server, back-up, telephony, printing, and any other peripheral devices.
2.Maintain system uptime at the operational site and surrounding areas.
3.Co-ordinate installation and decommission of hardware and software on IT infrastructure and equipment at all sites.
4.Provide advanced user assistance with workstations, peripheral equipment, in-scope software and mobile devices within the established organisational standards and guidelines.
5.Monitor all IT infrastructure within region and address any identified issues as per organisational processes and procedures.
6.Perform regular and proactive maintenance on all IT infrastructure within region as per organisational maintenance schedule.
7.Ensure IT security-related issues identified with the region are addressed timeously, e.g. virus outbreaks, compliance with endpoint protection standards.
8.Ensure IT service requests for the allocated region are addressed timeously and within Service Level Agreement (SLA).
9.Manage and develop performance and talent of the Support team in line with company’s Integrated Employee Value philosophy.
10.Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring of employees with the aim of transferring knowledge and developing people.
11.Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through developing a hands on understanding of Business Unit and Functional Department needs and requirements.

Requirements
Academic qualifications:
Essential:
•Matric
•Comptia A+, MCP, MCSA or relevant experience
•Diploma in IT Support or PC Engineer-related field
Note:
•Driver’s license
•Own transport
•Rotational standby may be required
Work experience:
Essential:
•5-10 years hands on IT computer and\or infrastructure support experience.
•Experience in supervising a team
Knowledge:
Essential:
•Good understanding of end user devices and IT infrastructure, e.g. computers, printers, mobile\scanners, telephones and etc.
•Strong knowledge of help desk systems.
•Strong knowledge and understanding of the workings of Active directory.
•Understanding of Microsoft Products.
•Understanding of networking concepts.
•Understanding biometrics products.
•Understanding and knowledge of ITIL.
Advantageous:
•ITIL Certification
