Job Summary:
The purpose of the SQL and BI Developer is to support data and report functions of the business through SQL server and Power BI report Development.

Requirements:
Job Objectives:

Ms SQL Server Design and Development

Creating and maintaining tables, views, stored procedures and required database objects
Maintaining good standard of coding, including commenting and design

User Requirements Analysis:

Analysis of business user requirements
Documentation of BRDs with user signoff
Conversion of BRD to technical specification

Power BI Report Development:

Developing insightful usable PowerBi reports and dashboards to aid the business in past analysis and current problem solving
Ability to manage data sources, refreshes and Gateways
Manage and add report subscriptions and alerts

Monitoring the SQL Azure ODS data loads

Monitoring the data loads to ODS with synced with D365 ERP system
Strengthen reporting and alerts on ODS data validity to D365

D365 data exception alerts and reporting

Writing SQL database objects and PowerBI reports to help identify and alert business users when Data exceptions are noted against business rules

Qualifications and Experience:

NQF 6 – Diploma &/ Higher Certificate in IT
5 Years + experience as a Developer
2-3 Years experience in MS SQL Server
