Requirement Overview:

Responsible to the auditor in charge for audit work allocated to them through the planning; executing and administrating of the audit;
Keep superiors of the respective audits informed of progress and of any developments or difficulties experienced with the audit process or clients;
Ensuring that all work is documented and concluded in accordance with the firm’s policies and procedures;
Develop and maintain sound client relationships; research best practice; identify new business leads and risk management amongst others.

Key Duties:

Initiating and administering the audit through the adherence to the compass audit plan;
Ensuring all audit documentation is accurate and neat and completed within time and financial budget parameters;
Adequately performing audit work as required through the use of review notes; commentary and financial result analysis and feedback;
Ensuring the issuing of outstanding items which require further detail and follow-up such as bank confirmation letters, debtors confirmations, legal letters, etc ;
Self-Development through the completion of personal performance reviews; attendance at various training workshops and positively contributing to company and team development.

Skills:

The successful candidate should be looking to complete all the requirements in order to be registered as a Chartered Accountant (CA) with SAICA.
• Relevant degree (B.Com)
• Hons / CTA / GDA (CA stream)
• Strong quantitative ability and attention to detail
• Understanding of general business principles
• Demonstrating Ethical Behaviour
• Developed Interpersonal skills
• Display leadership potential
• Possess high energy and drive
