BHP Billiton Energy Coal SA offers bursaries to talented candidates who are South African residents, for full time university and university of technology students studying in the following disciplines: Mining Engineering, Mine Survey, Extractive Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Heavy and Light current), Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering (Minerals Processing), Geology

Mechanical & Electrical Engineering students are expected to further their qualifications and achieve the Government Certificate of Competency certificate respective. The same apply to Mining Engineering students who are required to obtain the Mine Manager’s certificate.

 

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted during July / August 2014 and will be required to undergo psychometric testing as well as a panel interview. In addition all candidates are required to undergo a medical examination and be in possession of a valid medical fitness certificate.
