DEPARTMENT:  PRODUCTION WESSELS MINE 

Role Description:

To lead teams to ensure safe underground mining operations to achieve the daily targets.

Achieve daily production targets through mining according to the required safety standards.

Mine according to the required safety standards 

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience: 

• An underground blasting certificate for Metalliferous Mines.
• Minimum Grade 12 or matric.
• 3 years miner experience in a hard rock mining environment.(Trackless Mining)
• Experience in MS Office and SAP will be an advantage

Legal Requirements:

• Valid code 08/EB driver’s licence.
• Must pass the rep-employment medical examination in line with the inherent requirements of the job
• An underground blasting certificate for Metalliferous Mines.

 

 Key Performance Areas:

• You will play a key role in taking charge of the underground blasting operations within the designated area and ensure the delivering of a quality product to the plants.
• Achieve the daily production targets.
• Supervise the production team and ensure quality control.
• Ensure adhere to mining legislation as well as Policies and Procedures.
• Be responsible and take legal responsibility for all health, safety and environmental matters related to this position.
