The Group Technical Financial Manager is responsible for the Group’s financial and management reporting in accordance with company policies and external reporting standards.

Job Summary:
Financial Reporting – Group
Consolidation of Group Reporting
Standardization of Group Reporting
Preparation of the interim and final financial statements
Review of Operating Companies financial information
To provide strategic output Board reporting.
Compile annual group budgets and quarterly forecast Ensure adherence of forex transactions to IFRS and Group forex policy.
Creation, maintaining and distribution of Statutory Packs
Ensure reporting compliance with all statutory requirements (IFRS/Co’s Act, etc)
Assisting Operating Companies to achieve statutory reporting compliance and completion of all statutory submissions.
Review statutory reporting submissions at a Group level and at an operating company level.
Provide training to operating companies for statutory reporting
Assist in the creation of Integrated report for JSE reporting
Preparation of group consolidated budgets
IFRS Opinions, Review of new standards, Implementation of new standards
Develop, implement and maintain internal financial controls where required by identifying and assessing risks in conjunction with the internal-and external auditors.
Reporting and Concluding on audit work

Financial Reporting – Subsidiary Level:
Creation, maintaining and distribution of Statutory Packs
Ensure reporting compliance with all statutory requirements (IFRS/Co’s Act, etc)
Creation and maintenance of all statutory accounts
Assisting Operating Companies to achieve statutory reporting compliance and completion of all statutory submissions.
Review statutory reporting submissions at an operating company level.
Provide training to operating companies for statutory reporting
Review of subsidiaries reporting;
Obtain a solid understanding of subsidiaries operations and results including variances to budget;
Preparation of various monthly analysis schedules;
Review of subsidiaries tax computations;
Assist with preparation of reports to the board;
Assist with the implementation of King IV requirements;
Compliance with JSE and Companies Act requirements;
Always up to date with the latest accounting standards as well as amendments to Companies Act and Tax Act;
Review of subsidiaries budgets;
Preparation of consolidated budgets and forecasts.

Assist in the Preparation of tax returns where required
Market Analysis: Research and Analysis of Market/competitors
Business Performance: Analyzing and evaluating performances
Financial Modeling: New initiatives, scenario planning, etc. where applicable
New Accounting Pronouncements
oAnalyze impact on reporting
oRoll out training to OpCos
oModify Financials to ensure compliance

Bachelor of Commerce
CA(SA) – SAICA Registered

EXPERIENCE:
5- 8 years’ post qualification experience
