Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant
Location: Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa

Job Summary:
Supports financial decision-making information by collecting, processing, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data. Responsible for various accounting processed within Blue Label SA Distribution including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, cash management, stock management and reporting etc. processes and tasks as and when required

Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparation of journals and financial statements
Preparation of final group management accounts (debtors, creditors, inter-companies, loans, cash books, treasury share scheme, taxation)
Finalization of management accounts for Group
Processing of month end journals through perform month end closing activities such as account reconciliation, revenue accounting, expense accounting, etc.
Full general ledger reconciliations
Preparation and processing of monthly VAT Recon
Prepare and maintain the Fixed Asset register and reconciliations
Calculate and accounting for depreciation, assets disposal, asset purchases
Verify and report on assets when required
Processing of rental recoveries and rental expenses

Maintenance of accurate financial records:
Ensure financial records comply with company policies and accounting principles
Maintain accurate accounting records
Prepare and submit financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Review all financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Determine accounting errors or discrepancies and suggest necessary corrective action
Manage proper filing and document archiving
Maintain the Fixed asset register when required
Calculated and accounting for depreciation, assets disposal, asset purchases

Cash Management:
Review and post cashbook transactions
Review and post credit card account transactions
Review, update and process petty cash transactions and reconciliations
Perform cash forecast when required

Annual Budget and Audit Preparation:
Support preparation of annual budget forecast and projections.
Assist in preparing necessary documentation for annual financial audits.
Liaise with auditors and assist in the audit process
Resolving of queries
Maintaining all internal audit requirements in full compliance of the BLT internal audit requirements
Compile statutory reports / return as and when required
Assist with the finalization of income statements and balance sheets on a monthly basis and for year-end audits

Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting with articles

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Senior Financial Accountant or similar position
