Responsible for assessing, scoping, and/or developing/redeveloping business cases and processes for deployment through the DaaS environment. This requires consulting type business engagement to identify appropriate applications for the DaaS environment be scoped, developed, deployed and monitored. This includes collection of requirements for deployment from business, conducting pre deployment analysis of commercial and operational metrics to quantify baseline activity and potential uplift and communication thereof to onboard and upskill stakeholders. Scoped developments will need to be appropriately prioritised and briefed into the BluNova team. Performance of deployments must be tested, simulated or modeled, and then monitored to actively drive continuous improvement of existing use cases and drive expanded application of new use cases. The overall output will be a sustainable solution/ product that creates measured business value to the respective segments within the group with further potential to the external market

Strategy:
Facilitate the delivery of the BluNova Strategy both in BluNova and relevant business partners.
Support and enable the roll out of Decisioning as a Service (DaaS) capabilities through relevant channels and businesses (be the face of the delivery of DaaS and entrench and grow the understanding, application and development of the DaaS environment within their businesses).
Drive entrenchment, and then expansion of decisioning led practices at an operational level by providing leadership and foresight through insight and demonstrating value from applications.
Requires understanding the business needs, building appropriate DaaS solution(s), appropriately capturing and communicating value added and
garnering buy-in from affected businesses and their employees.
Help to shape partner business’ strategies and to guide good operational decision making through insight from the BluNova capabilities. This involves effective application of DaaS to provide solutions that meet specific current and future business needs and goals BLT Business’ and select associates.
Staying up to date with, developing and driving dissemination and adoption of best in class technologies, techniques, tactics and tools for effective delivery of DaaS across the BluNova team and business partners.
Plan and develop decision support systems through technical leadership.

Delivering Decisioning as a Service (DaaS) (Business Decisioning and Process Automation, Improvement, Monitoring and Development)
Work with stakeholders throughout the organisation to understand business models, value drivers, needs and context in order to identify transformational opportunities through leveraging BluNova’s data assets and the DaaS platform.
Identify, assess and map business process, product and analytical model requirements for appropriate development, redevelopment and/or deployment into the DaaS environment.
Provide a technical leadership role in the build and design of decision management strategies, solution development to optimise business ends,
process automation, consumer initiatives, analytics frameworks, decisioning solutions and best practices within the business.
Operationalise solutions, models, strategies and relevant applications through the DaaS environment.
Achieve revenue targets by supporting and developing further applications to be applied to/through DaaS.
Design and develop data reporting for relevant business operations (through provided DaaS or external BI solutions).
Perform impact analysis, modelling, logic testing, and simulations on solutions, applications, campaigns, models etc. which may be intended to be deployed.
Mentorship of the DaaS capability within BluNova and relevant business partners, developing the skill set and deploying solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve system problems in a timely fashion.
Recommend appropriate enhancement of DaaS systems and applications.
Data Gathering and Curation and Data Evangelism and Solution/Product Innovation
Understand the breadth of BluNova’s data sets and engage in interactive data exploration and data-driven story-telling to communicate or apply this in business.
Source and motivate for new data and/or features (both within and external to partner companies) that may be required to deliver DaaS or modelling requirements.
Ensure that informative datasets are appropriately served for analytics and BI applications inside and outside of BluNova as required.
Describe and motivate for changes in data requirements for the data engineer and/or data scientist to include in the pipeline.
Influence the architecture of data structures and feature sets so that they (1) facilitate diverse and detailed analyses (2) enable large scale processing, (3) manage data sensitivity and (4) promote future applications of the DaaS environment.
Provide technical competence through knowledge sharing and explanation within contexts and levels of detail that recipients may appreciate to up-skill decision engineering team members.
Help drive day-to-day research and analytics efforts while delivering high impact, actionable insights.
Availability as a DaaS solution subject matter expert.
Promote data driven business approach through leveraging the PLM framework.
Ownership and Input into the business case across uses cases in the BluNova pipeline.

Applied Analytics, Modelling and Data Science:
Collaborate with data engineer(s), data scientists(s) and/or software developer(s) to scope, monitor and maintain the analytics environment to, enable data modelling, exploration, mining at scale and product development thereof.
Take the lead to contribute to the development and communication of recommendations.
Develop the relevant mechanisms to monitor data and model integrity and accuracy in DaaS applications.
Test all upgrades and changes to applications within the DaaS platform for any errors.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems identified in a timely fashion.
Recommend enhancements to models, applications, processes and systems.
Productionalise developed models into DaaS
Responsible for the development of annual operating budgets.

Stakeholder Management:
Understand business operations and issues or bottlenecks communicated by management or operational teams and identify areas where we may.
Take ownership in solution deployment, expansion of applications, data gathering, data analysing activities and stakeholder buy in and engagement.
Work with management to prioritise requirements and synthesis information needs.
Present and depict the rationale of findings in an easy to understand format for business users to consume.
Communicates and develop relationships with business, partners, suppliers and subject matter experts as.
Collaborate closely with other teams to formulate analytically driven best-of class solutions and directly contribute to a variety of validation activities such as analysis design, execution and assessment; data review; and campaign performance evaluation.

Works with the ISO to ensure that the information used adheres to the regulatory and security policies and agreements in place and provides motivation to improve upon these where possible.
Qualifies where information can be stored or what information, external to the organisation, may be used in support of the use case.

EDUCATION:

Matric
STEM Bachelor’s degree (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Sciences, and related quantitative fields).

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in similar role.
Experience with Big Data Technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, etc. preferred
Experience with cloud based environments preferred.
Substantial technical experience as a decision service strategy developer in an associated platform such as Powercurve or FICO Blaze etc.
Experience with business process modelling and associated software Hands-on experience with data management and curation. Experience with databases and data warehouses such as SAP, SQL, Oracle, DB2.
Understanding of business cases and the concept of ROI
Ability to assess feasibility, viability and impact of projects and associated sub components
Expertise in using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, outlook)
Understanding of Agile methodologies for rapid development.
Ability to visualize data and communicate story.
