This is a great opportunity for a Solar PV Electrician (with a wireman’s licence) at a dynamic fibre optic company that offers full turnkey telecommunications solutions. The candidate will assist the Managing Director in day-to-day tasks and responsibilities. The office is located in Durbanville, but the successful candidate will have to travel in and around the greater Cape Town area, including the Cape Winelands, to wherever the client is for the day.

Job Title: Solar PV Electrician (ECOC)

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Managing a team & team efficiency.
Installing solar panel arrays in residential and commercial settings, including on roofs, walls, and ground mounts.
Connecting electrical components such as inverters, batteries, and charge controllers to ensure that they operate properly.
Installing wiring and other electrical components in new construction projects, including commercial buildings, and residential homes.
Meeting with clients to discuss project goals and requirements.
Installing photovoltaic (PV) systems in residential and commercial settings, including roof top systems and standalone systems.
Installing electrical wiring and equipment, such as transformers and switchgear, to support solar power systems.
Installing and maintaining solar power generation equipment, such as photovoltaic panels.
Installing batteries, battery boxes, and other battery components for solar power systems.
Installing wiring for solar energy systems in homes and businesses, including mounting solar panels, wiring panels to the main electrical box, connecting batteries or other energy storage devices to the system.
Administrative duties.
Computer literate.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Electrician trade test qualification
Completed NQF levels N1, N2 and N3 for Electrical Engineering
Obtained a Wireman’s license to issue electrical compliance certificates (ECOC)
Passed SANS 10142-1 National Exam
Registered with the department of labour (DoL)
Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
Qualified electrical and solar technician
Solar Photovoltaic Installation experience (minimum 2 years)
Experienced in managing teams

Package & Remuneration:
