We have an opportunity for an experienced, highly driven individual with solid HR experience to join our high-performance People Support team. The individual will be responsible for assisting with delivering PS strategic priorities and people enabling solutions.

 

 

 

 

 

Job Title: People Support Practitioner

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
•Talent Acquisition: Prepares, updates and maintain all job specifications and job profiles; Initiate’s recruitment process for all C level
positions and higher; Conducts selection and assessment of shortlisted candidates; Oversees administration of appointment process,
including offer letters and employment contracts; Conducts, prepares, and analyses employee exit interviews and identifies retention
opportunities
•Onboarding & Off-boarding Process: Analyses on-boarding interviews of employees, track trends and prepares on-boarding feedback at
management level, Plans, conducts and prepares exit interviews and reporting. Identifies engagement opportunities and makes
recommendations to improve employee
retention to management
•Compliance: Assist with developing, implementing, and monitoring of company policies and procedures and educates managers and
employees on PS policies and procedures; Ensures alignment of PS Policies to best practice and ensures policies are audited annually and
align to latest legislation updates; Plans and prepares the annual Employment Equity Plan; Assist with conducting audit checks relating to
employees’ files and policies
•Employee Relations: Provides solid Employee Relations advice to line management and employees on labour law and company employment
policies and procedures; Provides input into the development of the Employee Relations policies and processes; Plans, coordinates, and
attends all disciplinary hearings within their respective departments; Prepares all disciplinary documents and packs, fact finders and
warning forms; Assists PS Manager with representing the company at the CCMA; Plans and prepares quality monthly People Support reports
for the business; Analyses and advises on People Support trends within department, business and externally; Manages employee benefit
claims and ensures all claims are properly processed with the service providers (e.g., Critical illness, death, and disability); Coaching and
mentoring of management and employees on PS matters
• Organisational Development: Develops and implement effective change management interventions to support process, system or structure
changes; Facilitates training aimed to equip managers to effectively apply PS practices and policies; Assist with developing and implementing
of employee engagement initiatives; Identifies and supports management to drive high team performance through effective people enabling
solutions; Ensures performance, management processes are managed in accordance with Capfin Policy and Procedures; Coaches and
advises managers and employees within department on performance improvement processes and practices; Assist the PS Manager in
enhancing rewards and recognition incentives for employees to further
promote the culture of recognition in the business
•Employee Wellness: Provide input into wellness theme year calendar in association with EWP; Assist with managing wellness projects and
the implementation of employee wellness initiatives; Assist with planning and engages with wellness service providers relating to service
offerings
Requirements:
To excel in our environment, you would require experience in the following:

•PS disciplines: IR, Employee Wellness, Employee engagement initiatives, Performance Management, Compliance, Organisational Development,
Talent Acquisition, Reward & Recognition and Management reporting
•Strong experience and knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•HR/Payroll systems experience would be advantageous

Qualification:
•Minimum 3-year Diploma in Human Resources Management or Industrial and Organisational Psychology

Experience:
•At least 5 years PS Generalist experience (Contact Centre experience would be advantageous)
•Recruitment experience is required with some experience with IT related roles
•Strong technical knowledge is required to effectively perform this role
•Must have solid IR understanding and experience, and have represented companies at the CCMA
•Exposure to planning and executing of employee wellness and engagement strategies
•Change Management planning and experience in driving change within a department or business
