Position: HTS District Coordinator
Location: Witbank, Nkangala, Mpumalanga
Reports To: TBC
Employment Type: Contract – Event-Based Linked to Funding
Start Date: ASAP
Educational Requirements: Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
Relevant tertiary qualification preferred
Experience: 2 years+ in a similar role
Salary Range: Market Related – To be discussed

  • HIV Prevention Programme experience is essential

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Develop, coordinate and implement CareWorks Masibambane HIV Testing Service (HTS) strategies and workplans for the district/sub-districts
  • Develop and manage partnerships with the District/Sub-district Department of Health and the Non-government sectors
  • Performance manage the CareWorks Masibambane field team is managed in accordance with the programme plan and is following guidelines and protocols
  • Accurately report the HTS data to the CareWorks M&E Department at CareWorks Head Office, daily
  • Communicate with the Workplace Engagement officer to ensure that all scheduled sites for PP Prev meet minimum requirements
  • Communicate with Head Office on all schedule bookings, changes, etc.
  • Ensure the field team are mobilising into scheduled camps
    • Update prevention team on venue, targets, target population, etc.
    • Ensure the field team are aligning to such targets and target populations
  • Develop and maintain a list of venues in line with programme requirements
    • Report on any venues which are not feasible
  • Ensure the field teams are capacitated in order to perform their duties – information, marketing material, stock, etc
    • Monitor a monthly stock register with field teams in order to ensure they do not run out of any stock
  • Ensure field teams are working efficiently and effectively
  • Communicate daily with field mobilisers to ensure they are all meeting targets for the day
  • Provide support at campaigns as and when required and trouble shoot
  • Work with the district support partner within the district to ensure HIV stock levels are maintained and raise any concerns should stock levels drop below required minimum
  • Communicate stock related issues with the Head Office and to HAST Manager
  • Work with the district support partner to strengthen and increase linkages to care
  • Provide ongoing training and support to existing field teams
  • Provide training and support to new field teams
  • Report on staff inefficiencies and non-productive teams
  • Analyse trends relating to venues and attendance and venues and prevalence
  • Provide daily/weekly reports on teams’ activities, outputs, challenges, etc
  • Do spot checks at campaigns and during mobilisation to ensure quality is being maintained
  • Represent CareWorks at stakeholder meetings as and when required
