Our company is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. Purpose of the Job Analyse MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) requirements and provide solutions that enable the launch of new MVNOs, optimize the operations for existing MVNOs, achievement of goals, the provision of services and the finding of business, information and process efficiencies across the organisation on behalf of the various requirement stakeholders.

 

 

 

 

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst – Wholesale
Location: Gauteng

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the concept requests/Problem statement process
Support the business and team in the definition of the Business requirement/problem description.
Perform high-level feasibility of new requirement concepts
Perform and review high-level estimates of costs
Guide, develop and review the business/project requests and supporting documents for the demand management forums.
Review roadmaps and initiatives and make recommendations to stakeholders

Support the Business analysis team:
Review BAs documents and outputs provided by the MVNO
Maintain the repository of business documents to ensure the knowledge base is kept up to date and is available for other BAs to learn and drive.

Manage Business Requirement analysis, Business Process Analysis and Business information analysis and support the project solutioning phase
Provide guidance to the team on the eliciting of functional, non-functional & technical requirements and provide recommendations as to the impacts of new developments
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver and review the following artefacts as needed i.e. Business Requirements Documents, Business Process Documents, Information Requirement Specifications, Use Cases, work flows, design documents, UAT test cases.
Manage the eliciting of requirements by facilitating interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks and workflow analysis.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from underlying needs.
Review and confirm mapping between the business and technical requirements ensuring traceability
Manage and support business process improvement. Assist with the documenting and review of business processes.
Continuously review technical and business feasibility of requirements through the suctioning phase.
Prepare, review and present analysis results when required.

Conduct and assist with testing efforts
Prepare the User Acceptance Test plan.
Manage and support the user acceptance testing of solutions.

Manage requirements and solutions that require 3rd party Vendor involvement
Define and review the business and functional specifications in regard to 3rd party involvement
Define and review vendor evaluation criteria based on business requirements
Risk management of situations affecting project(s) scope, time, and cost or risk arising from vendor feedback.
Evaluate and review vendor responses against the business requirements,
Evaluate vendors against the business requirements, architectures, and IT Strategy and roadmap and make recommendations to governance forums.
Review and present analysis results to management.

Manage the design and documentation of solutions , where required
Proactively identify possible obstacles to a successful solution which originate within system/process/people or other constraints.
Support the compilation of technical and functional specifications required, reviews and updates the relevant BRS documentation as required.

Develop, support and maintain Business knowledge and apply best practice methodology
Maintain Business Service catalogue and ensure team and business is informed of any changes.
Ensure compliance to standards, modelling frameworks and tools.
Ensure compliance to standards of maintaining all the key Analysis and Business artefacts such as: Business requirements specifications, Business Rules, Business Architecture, Product Catalogue, Information KPI Definitions, Business Processes etc.
Identify customer organization’s strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement.
Review technical feasibility of new development concepts and work with technical teams in solving technical solutions.
Review business process changes, including creating, describing, documenting and maintaining business processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities

Uphold HR policies and procedures
Strictly apply and adhere to Cell C health and safety procedures.
Confirm to the Cell C Health , safety and environmental standards
Identify and report all health and safety matters and incidents
Participate in the appointment of the SHE representative, first aiders and evacuating marshals in the Training team.

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Minimum Qualification:
B.Sc / B. Eng degree – in Information technology and related areas (Minimum).

Or
B.Com degree with specialization in business information systems, (preferred) or systems and process architecture or Business Analysis (preferred).
Experience: 5 years’ experience in providing project management and business Analysis services to a wide range of stakeholders and customers; ideally in GSM and / or ITC environment.
At least 2 years management experience in GSM solutions and analysis.
Experience of providing technical solutions to a significantly sized organization investing in a mix of substantive third-party and in-house applications.
Experience in the implementation of Business processes in a Telecommunications Environment
