Cell C is currently recruiting for an Executive: Product Management to join our dynamic team.

Job Title: Executive: Product Management
Location: Gauteng

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
To provide strategic guidance for and oversee management of all Cell C’s product lines for Consumer Products, Customer Retention, Innovation and Business Intelligence and to create and deliver positive customer lifetime values through agreed product lifecycle management and customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Product strategy
Lead and support product managers in creating long-term competitive strategy and roadmaps for their product lines with the aim of maximizing customer lifetime value and updating this long-term view yearly in preparation of the budgeting rounds.
Own, review and refresh the product portfolio on a regular basis, ensuring that it is constantly aligned with Cell C’s strategic and business plan objectives.
Product planning
Ensure that product managers are adequately engaged in identifying new product opportunities, product changes and enhancements and where necessary eliminating products (features)
Ensure that product managers create and maintain a product plan and forecast, which is updated every quarter.
Product performance management
Manage regular tracking and reporting of product performance across all product lines to ensure that product managers are optimising customer lifetime value by reducing churn, increasing revenue, improving margins and increasing sales volumes.
Deliver product performance improvement by collaborating closely across the organization and in particular with the other marketing teams, sales, customer operations, service delivery and strategy.
Cost and Budget Management
Prepare the budget within area of control.
Manage the approved budget for area.
Prepare cost tracking and variation reports.
Make recommendations for budget-affecting change requests.
Inform Management timeously of potential over-spend
Health and Safety Compliance
Strictly apply and adhere to Cell C Health and Safety procedures and rules.
Manage conformance to Legislation and Cell C Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
Manage, identify and minimize Cell C’s exposure to operational risk.
Monitor, investigate and report all health and safety matters and incidents.
Recruit employees; assign and direct work, oversee their development, identify training needs and maintain staff competence.
Staff Management
Establish and evaluate Key Performance Indicators.
Provide an advisory and support function.
Initiate the appropriate Labour Relation action required within section.
Uphold HR policies and procedures.
Conduct performance appraisals.
Perform any related duties as requested by Management.

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Qualifications:
Honours degree(s) in engineering, information technology, marketing management or business administration.
Preferably MBA or similar of leading business school.
Experience
10 years’ experience in telecommunications or a related technical sector within a medium-sized to large company of which 4 years exposure to marketing or product management or
at least 3 years’ experience at a major business consulting firm
