Cell C is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager : Wholesale Business Delivery Manager to join our dynamic team.
Job Title: Senior Manager: Wholesale Business Delivery Manager
Duties & Responsibilities:
To act as the overall domain lead for Wholesale Business and oversee all service delivery functions, providing context, direction and leadership to the implementation teams involved.
Accountable for the formulation and implementation of the team plans and activities within Service Delivery Management team.
To act as the business liaison manager for Wholesale Business, supporting MNVOs, Business Service Providers and other partners with respect to all system related needs – including ongoing business requirements-to-solution alignment, improvements to the existing solutions, changes, enhancements, upgrades and operational support including escalations.
To lead and/or share responsibility for delivery execution plans, resource deployment, financial management, reporting, quality assurance and overall coordination efforts, to ensure the Wholesale deliverables are completed successfully – on schedule – to the budget – and within scope.
Key Performance Areas:
Partner with BSPs, MVNOs, other partners and internal leadership in defining, prioritising and achieving strategic objectives and defining short and long term objectives and roadmap for Wholesale department.
Identify all impacted stakeholders and establish communication channels and progress metrics that should be tracked
Develop and manage Wholesale Business program charters and business cases where required.
Clearly define program objectives, lead the development of the Wholesale Business implementation plan, and oversee the execution of that plan on time and within budget.
Determine staffing and financial requirements for projects and or programs;
Utilise financial and / or human resources to support longer-term projects.
Serve as the subject matter expert on all Wholesale Business projects.
Provide the EPMO and integrated solution delivery team with constructive feedback as it pertains to project or overall program performance.
Apply knowledge of Wholesale Business technical trends and vendor practices in portfolio management to ensure successful delivery of the application.
Ensure compliance of application development activities with audit and information risk policies.
Analyse project risks, costs, and benefits and make relevant recommendations to business and IT leadership.
Manage workload within Wholesale Business projects, proactively identifying and resolving issues that would present a risk to on-time implementation of the program / project.
Act as a key communication channel between internal/external parties and the Wholesale business for ongoing program management status and issues, opening up communication channels, coordinating messages and setting business expectations.
Projects and Requirement Delivery Role
Work with business and internal Leadership to understand technology and business strategy and their implication to projects under responsibility
Accountable to business for Wholesale Business project scoping, planning, construction, integration and deployment.
Understand, prioritise and manage development and implementation of Wholesale Business project enhancements / changes
Identify / mitigate risks to delivering Wholesale Business projects on time
Participate in project estimating / planning processes
Ensure quality management across all activities within the Wholesale Business projects allocated
Policy and Process Management
Compile management reports for various steering committees.
Develop and recommend policies and procedures and programs to increase effectiveness of financial information collected.
Identify potential risks and exposures and advise management of any implications as well as implement controls to prevent losses or adverse impact.
Formulate or provide support in the formation of agreements with service providers, MVNOs, suppliers and other Wholesale Business partners.
Recruit employees, assign and direct work, oversee their development, identify training needs and maintain staff competence.
•Draw-up, negotiate, agree and sign performance contracts with all direct reports.
•Establish and evaluate Key Performance Indicators
Perform any other Related duties as requested by Management
Conduct performance appraisals.
Provide an advisory and support function.
Manage any Labour Relations matters.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
Management experience critical, specifically with respect to managing large scale project teams (matrix of internal and 3rd party vendor) and customer relationship management with proven success.
Minimum 8 – 10 years Wholesale and/or MVNO experience. Experience as to how to onboard MVNOs will be considered as favourable.
Telecommunications Industry exposure essential.
