Cell C South Africa recruits Senior Sales Manager (Branded Channels)
To lead the Company Owned channel in the development and execution of appropriate sales strategies and distribution in both the Pre-Paid and Post-Paid market in order to exploit opportunities for profitable volume growth and sustainable competitive advantage in the retail markets
Sales & Marketing Management
•To launch the franchise channel and position it as the Consumer’s channel of choice for cellular products / services based on product, range, media types, sales promotions and pricing strategy.
•Develop and implement post-paid and pre-paid marketing / channel strategy for the Franchise channel, as deemed appropriate by Cell C’s Service Provider
•Build and steadily increase quality sales volume in the post-paid, pre-paid , voice and dats market to achieve competitive advantage as well as company objectives. Continually identify new business opportunities
•Steadily increase market share in the post-paid and pre-paid segment for the Company Owned channel, using market penetration techniques
•Launch of prepaid and post-paid data as destination of choice.
•Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting customer expectations. Mediate and negotiate resolution of customer complaints. Involves monitoring customer satisfaction and putting proactive steps in place to avoid problems
•Enhance post-paid, prepaid , voice and data services quality and performance in the franchise channel Includes an analysis of implied costs, and an analysis of the feasibility of new services as well as regular profit /loss analysis for the channel
•Co-ordinate and lead the post-paid and pre-paid team for franchise in order to achieve all company targets as well as sales targets
•Identify post-paid and pre-paid sales problems that affects Cell C’s systems and manage projects to achieve the development and implementation of solutions accordingly
•Negotiate contracts with suppliers. In certain circumstances, in conjunction with Procurement and Contracting ( Accessories , VAS , Red Bull )
•Manage product forecast on a monthly rolling basis for the Company Owned channel as well as the forecasted order of stock required in advance per month.
•Compile and formulate channel strategies to drive sales.
•Responsible for formulating store staff incentive programmes
•Responsible for approval of channel media
•Responsible for content appearing in channel marketing
•Ensure latest up to date content (VAS) available for stores
•Responsible for the monthly prepaid, postpaid , voice and data deals that go to trade.
•Responsible for the best practice standard per vendor to include management of contracts, marketing value and spends as well as store merchandising standards as per Cell C’s requirements.
•Responsible for structuring prepaid , post-paid , data and voice deals to stimulate sales , ensuring maximum uptake.
•Negotiate contracts and trading agreements with potential new and existing vendors. In certain circumstances, in conjunction with Procurement, marketing, legal, Commercial division and on behalf of the consumer sales executive. Evaluate proposals and decide on feasibility of proposal.
•Responsible for handset and data range listed for the franchise channel
Cost & Budget Management.
•Manage the approved annual marketing budget for area.
•Prepare cost tracking and variation reports.
•Make recommendations for budget-affecting change requests.
•Inform Management timeously of potential over-spend.
Staff Management:
•Recruit employees; assign and direct work, oversee their development, identify training needs and maintain staff competence.
•Establish and evaluate Key Performance Indicators.
•Provide an advisory and support function.
•Initiate the appropriate Labour Relation action required within section.
•Uphold HR policies and procedures.
