Child Welfare Tshwane is a nonprofit organisation that endeavours to provide intervention to a vulnerable child, through security, development and help the child cope independently.

Job Title: Social Work
Job Location: Pretoria

Assumption of duties will be discussed in the interview

Responsibilities:

• Children’s Act and related legislation implementation
• Norms and standards on statutory work services and intervention
• Develop circle of wholeness / courage (IDP)
• Social Work administration
• Service biological families
• Recruit, orientate and screen prospective adoptive parents
• Assess families and children
• Market and network
• Welfare planning and reports

Requirements:

• Five years’ Social Worker experience
• Qualification as Social Worker
• Registration and paid up member with the SACSSP
• Registered as specialist for Adoptions with SACSSP (preference)
• Minimum of five years SW practice (Statutory and Adoption experience will be an advantage)
• Language proficiency: English, African (SA) and Afrikaans (an advantage)
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Competency test will be conducted)
• Valid code 08 driver’s license (Own transport is an advantage and competencies will be assessed)
