NGO Jobs in South Africa

CHoiCe Trust was established in 1997 in the rural areas around Tzaneen town, Limpopo Province. A group of committed nurses and health practitioners formed under the leadership of Fiona Macdonald – our founding trustee – to provide essential health trainings and interventions to farm workers. It soon became apparent that working with farm workers was not enough, as the behaviour of the farm workers was largely influenced by their families and neighbours from the rural villages. CHoiCe soon made the decision to move into the villages and provide education and skills around home-based care amongst the vulnerable community members.
