Job Summary:
The Business Solutions Department in Pretoria has a position for a Specialist: Business Technology. If you believe you meet the requirements for this position, then please send through your CV. Kindly note that only shortlisted candidates will be corresponded with.

The purpose of the job is to evaluate technologies, IT architecture and infrastructure in support to LEAN Team strategy and projects, to enable successful execution, implementation and support of these projects and technologies. Evaluate and recommend improvements and/or optimization requirements on the overall IT architecture and infrastructure to ensure that IT systems, technologies, platforms and software is supported, ensuring optimal performance.

Business Solutions:
1.In line with LEAN Team strategy and directives, identify suitable technologies that will automate and support business solutions and objectives.
2.Review and evaluate technical and business requirements of proposed solutions and technologies.
3.Make recommendations in terms of existing or new IT architecture and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and support of proposed solutions and technologies.
4.Project manage technical aspects of implementation of new solutions, technologies and IT Infrastructure to ensure successful execution of LEAN team strategies and projects.
5.Ensure timeous solution/project delivery in terms of budgeted costs and timelines.
6.Review, oversee and make recommendation of technical aspects within Legal and service level agreements.
7.Analyze costs, values and risks relating to solutions and technologies. Make recommendations to LEAN Team.
8.Ensure documentation for technical aspects of technologies, architecture and infrastructure implemented is prepared, handed over and filed for IT Support and management.
9.Manage and support continuous development, upgrades and other technical aspects of implemented technologies.
10.Ensure and facilitate training with regards to technical support and management of solutions and technologies.
11.Build and foster internal and external relationships to achieve Lean team and business objectives.

IT Technologies, Architecture and Infrastructure:
1.Evaluate the company IT processes, systems, current technologies and business development strategies to make recommendations and suggested improvements to enable company IT processes to support the business requirements and goals.
2.Identify and record discrepancies and vulnerabilities within the current IT architecture and platform tools currently used to effect business development and automation strategies.
3.In consultation with IT, develop a technology infrastructure plan or Enterprise Architecture Plan (EAP), encompassing aspects such as systems, technology, and network architectures, acquisition plans, standards, migration strategies, and contingency aspects of the technology infrastructure.
4.In consultation with IT, create an infrastructure that can support the required products, services and delivery mechanisms.
5.In consultation with IT, create methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, and change control.
6.Guide the business in optimizing and reducing IT costs by assessing current expenditure and suggesting better alternatives.
7.Prepare reports that explain new technologies available and how these can effectively be used for automation and operational enhancements, specifically focusing on cost reduction of IT infrastructure.
8.Organize training sessions for system users on enhanced changes to IT infrastructures and technologies and communicate proposed enhancement to business owners.
9.Prepare, draft and communicate IT change project plans and roll-out strategies.

Working conditions:
Mostly Office Based. Limited Travelling will be required.

Qualifications & Experience:
1.Post Matric Qualification (IT related Degree)
2.10-12 years related working experience.

Skills & Knowledge Required:
1.Proficient in MS Office and Microsoft products, including SharePoint etc.
2.Proficient in other technical products, databases and programming languages, e.g., Linux, SQL, MySQL, ESP, API integration etc.
3.Experience in system architecture and EAP development is required.
4.Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills.
5.Good understanding of technology platforms and products.
6.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7.Good leadership and motivational skills.
8.Experience in modeling and graphic representations.
