Key Performance Outputs:

Project Management of civil related capital expenditure projects
Initiation and execution of cost optimizing, as well as business improvement projects
Identification & management of refurbishment and capacity related civil infrastructure projects
Develop and implement strategies for civil infrastructure as well as champion pavement management decision support system
Perform quality management on pavement and drainage maintenance
Responsible for pavement maintenance planning, scheduling, pavement management decision support system
Reporting on civil infrastructure compliance audits and failure & performance analysis on all civil infrastructures to optimize maintenance
Ensure compliance to all SACAA and other related applicable Statutory Requirements within the industryÂ
Represent ACSA in Professional Teams for pavement discipline developments and ensure that the final product meets airport operational needs
The successful candidate will oversee the execution of long term projects and the development of new capital and maintenance projects. Â
In addition conduct necessary research to gather empirical information that will enable the company to accurately forecast pavement rehabilitation requirements thereby increasing the life span of its runways and taxiways.

 

Technical Skills and Experience:

Grade 12 or equivalent prior learning / and experience, based on the job requirements, within the position. An appropriate recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Registered as a Professional or eligible for registration with ECSA.
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in management of civil infrastructure development, pavement maintenance & design.
High level technical expertise in the civil and pavement engineering environment.
Knowledge of Airport and Aviation infrastructure
Highly computer literate on MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as Pavement/Geometric design tools.
A valid driver’s licence (min. Code B).
