Job Description
Coca-Cola Fortune (CCF) is one of four licensed Coca-Cola bottlers in South Africa and has five manufacturing sites situated in Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein, Polokwane, Nelspruit and Port Shepstone.

An exciting opportunity exists in the Manufacturing function for a SHEQ Manager, reporting to the Manufacturing Manager and will be responsible for the Lakeside Plant, Perseverance and George depots.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Overseeing and monitoring all stages of the products and ensuring that products are manufactured in strict accordance with procedures.

Ensuring the development, maintenance and implementation of the Coca-Cola Quality System.

Generating quality reports, including reviewing and implementing work instructions and procedures.Encouraging and promoting team participation and commitment within the demand fulfillment team.

Developing close working relationships between the laboratory and other departments.

Developing and training SHEQ staff to meet future demands.Implementation and maintenance of HACCP / Evolution 3 for Plant and Depots.

Implementation of ISO 9001, 14001 & 18001 & FSSC 22000 for Plant and Depots.

Manage and conduct GMP audits for region.

Manage and ensure Consumer Responses are tracked and appropriate corrective action is taken.Facilitate Warehouse, Trade and Fountain Surveys for the area.

Work with local legislative organizations and the SABS on issues pertinent to the area.

 

Skills, Experience & Education

BSc degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry &/or Microbiology or equivalent.

TQM tertiary certificate with experience in IS09001, 14001 and HACCP.Minimum of five years FMCG experience of which 3 years in a supervisory / management capacity.

Computer Literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Must have analytical skills & able to work under pressure.

Must have a good understanding of SPC principles and application.Must have good communication skills and be able to issue reports timeously.

General Must be prepared to work shifts and/or overtime if required.Must be able to function as part of a team.
