REQUIREMENTS : An appropriate three [3] year national tertiary qualification in Journalism (external communication officer) or related field, coupled with a minimum of one [1] year writing as a field journalist, advance computer knowledge of MSOffice Programme

•Knowledge of relevant legislation in the Public Service •Report writing skills •Good office administration, analysis and research •Good communication skills [written and verbal] and negotiation skills •Computer literacy [MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.] •Valid code 8 /EB driver’s license

 

DUTIES : Write stories, provide error free news worth stories •Produce features stories and opinion pieces •Take photographs, market the Department, maintain media database, contribute web content and maintain social media pages •Edit content for both print and web publications •Execute communication strategies and programmes for the Department.
