REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12 plus relevant tertiary qualification (B-Degree or equivalent) in
journalism or communications couples with three (3) years of relevant
experience. The following are inherent requirements of the job: Knowledge of
the public service and Department of Health legislations. Knowledge of marketing
and promotional strategies, Government communications and marketing policies.
Knowledge of media in general and specific operations of different media sections. Knowledge of stakeholder relations management strategies. Project management skills. Ability to interact with people at different levels both internally
and externally. Computer literacy. Planning, organizing and coordinating (verbal
and written) and negotiation skills and proficiency in English. Conflict
managements and time management and the ability to work independently.

DUTIES : The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to: Ensure effective and
integrated communication with all stakeholders, coordinate and conduct periodic
client and stakeholder interaction meeting and maintain a link between the
stakeholders and the hospital. Organise and coordinate Mamelodi Hospital
Social Responsibility Programme. Responsible for the organization of internal
social events such as the Christmas party for the whole staff complement of the
hospital. Responsible for the compilation, publishing and distribution of the
monthly newsletter. Contribute in the alignment of the hospital and the
departmental strategic communication initiatives of government and organize
briefing sessions and coordinate road shows for the hospital on topics of
importance. Coordinate Hospital Board activities and liaise with the hospital
management. Attend to media queries and liaise with Head Office
Communication directorate.
