Job Title: IT Support Manager 3pm till MIDNIGHT!
Location: Cresta

Job Summary:

· Assist and manage all infrastructure related queries in the company, on request and as per business requirements.

· Manage team of IT technicians and helpdesk administrators.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Matric or equivalent

· A+ and N+ is essential

· IT related qualification is an advantage.

· 3-5 years’ proven experience as an IT Support Manager or in a similar role

· At least 1year IT Support experience in a contact centre environment.

· Advanced experience in desktop support

· Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment.

· Create alternative methods of completing tasks, correcting user errors and system inconsistencies to improve the desktop team function.

· Maintain inventory of installed software, manage software licensing, and create policies and procedures for upgrades.

· Analyse and make recommendations for hardware and software standardization.

· Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences and back-out instructions.

· To resolve complaints and ensure escalated queries are being attended to efficiently.

· Manage team discipline and scheduling

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:

· Valid South African driver’s license

· Own car/transport

· Excellent communication skills, must be articulate and well spoken

· Excellent computer skills

· Tenacious, with ability to work independently and take responsibility

· Be flexible and energetic

· Possess leadership skills

· Possess ability to multitask

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main Duties:

· Daily server checks

· Server Maintenance/update/new

· Backups – Monitoring, scheduling, best practices

· Asterisk – Basic maintenance,

· Firewall – Best practices, configure, secure, maintain

· Switches – Configure, maintain, monitor, usage stats

· Anti-Virus – Ensure compliance, effective and up to date protection

· Hyper-V maintenance

· Office 365 Administration

Customer Service Responsibilities:

· Ensure that technicians are always ‘customer-orientated’, energetic, friendly, respectful and empathetic when conversing with internal employees and customers.

· To speak positively and enthusiastically about the company and its products and / or services to ensure that a professional Company brand image is maintained at all times. Also ensuring your staff do the same.

Teamwork Responsibilities:

· To work as part of a team to achieve the daily, weekly and monthly operational and departmental targets and standards.

· Willing to listen to and support colleagues and team members with professional problems, devoting time and imparting expertise where required.

· Portraying confidence and expressing positive expectations toward the team and the Company.

· Assist other Teams / Divisions when required by your Managers.

· Display a positive attitude towards Managers, Team Leaders and Agents.
