Job Description

Job Title: Reliability Engineer

• Conduct RCA and failure analysis investigations
• Generate automated reports detailing, mean-time-between-failure, meant-time-to-repair–, Cost, direct-operating hours, equipment availability and using Pareto, Weibull Analysis, CHART runner using data visualization software
• Build, manage and maintain healthy relations with stakeholders to assist in the achievement of sectional goals
• Liaise with stakeholders to provide relevant and specialised technical support and input for operations and projects
• Ensure all relevant information is communicated to supervisor in an accurate and timely manner
• Identify and manage equipment reliability risks that could adversely affect business performance
• Implement asset management processes such as maintenance tactics, work management and defect elimination
• Cultivate a reliability and continuous improvement culture at the operation
• Implement new technologies

About The Employer

• At least a B-Tech Degree or relevant Engineering degree in any of the Engineering disciplines
• Minimum 5+ years relevant experience in a Reliability Engineering position
• Extensive experience on / in Heavy Mining Equipment in the open pit / opencast environment
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Skilled in various types of Root Cause Analysis methods
• Skilled in Reliability Centered Maintenance methods
• Excellent Data Management skills
• Experience in using data visualization software like Tableau etc.
• Experience in SAP PM
• Valid South African driver’s license: Code B
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
