PROFESSIONAL OFFICER
UTITLITY SERVICES • ENTERPRISE ASSET MANAGEMENT (EAM) AND ELECTRICAL (HC) TRAINING
Basic Salary: R321 539 – R338 079 per annum • Ref. No. ES 40/16

Requirements:
National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (heavy current)
Trade Certificate as an Electrician
2–5 years’ relevant experience with technical training and/or experience in an electrical heavy current environment
Computer literacy (MS Office, Applications and SAP)
Code B driver’s licence
Recommendation: Registered as an Assessor and Moderator for Electrician’s qualification.

Key performance areas:
Provide support and continuous improvement through training Asset Management processes and procedures and linking the same processes and procedures to electronic reading devices, field assets and SAPBI (EAM) processes
Present product specific training and link SAPBI (EAM) processes to assets
Coordinate and conduct electrical training courses based on acceptable educational practices for the relevant topics and associated ETQA processes
Present the course material to learners, explain and discuss content, clarify terminology and illustrate examples to support understanding and learning
Assess learners, both theoretically and practically and present these outcomes to SETA for moderation and verification for the awarding of qualifications and implement course feedback
Perform administration duties including statistical information with respect to training completed, attendance levels and targets achieved
Supervise and control the training of learners, as well as learner discipline
Ensure safety, good hygiene and accident/injury reporting in accordance with the City’s COID procedures.
