Overview

The Chief Technology Architect serves as a technology expert to develop and maintain high level technology strategies, architectures, business solutions, standards, policies and guidelines. The individual is further a technical advisor in GIS for incidents and to assist with root cause solutions. Critical to the above mentioned is to maintain the technology roadmap for ZA as well as liaise with Deloitte Global on these topics, to assure alignment. Provides input to the EAS team members regarding the aforementioned.

Ensure all solutions are aligned to Business Objectives and strategies
Business Solutions (business cases, architectures) are aligned to Firm’s IT standards
Develop new or update technology roadmap that is aligned to Deloitte global CTO’s plans
Solutions development (Business cases and relevant deliverables)
Guidance to GIS staff i.t.o Products, architectures and standards, policies and guidelines.
LAB preparation and deliverables
Deloitte ZA audits (for example configurations, housekeeping)
Thought Leadership
Research (monitor future trends and regulations)
Leads through business interviews, proposals and business cases
Relevant bachelor degree with at least 4 relevant IT Certifications.
8 years Technical architecture development in a Microsoft, HP, Lenovo/Dell, Checkpoint, Citrix, Backup Exec, HP Data protector, Cisco or Nortel (MPLS) environment.
4 years IT Strategic planning, Aligning IT to business.
10 year practical IT System Administration in the above mentioned environments.
4 years Business analysis.
As a technical team lead or implementation team member as part of large project implementations.
Experience on other technologies would be beneficial (Open Source solutions, web based solution, SAP Infrastructure).
4 years management of people.
Ability to engage with senior Deloitte staff.
